Andrzej Krajewski

pseud. Andre de Krayewski (born in 1933) – poster and graphic designer, painter, illustrator, book and album covers designer, interested mainly in cultural, movie and theatre posters. He is recognized as co-author of Polish School of Poster Art. Krajewski graduated from the Warsaw Fine Art Academy (ASP) in 1963 under Professor Henryk Tomaszewszewski. As a young boy he fell in love with comics which influenced Pop-Art style of his work. As a young person he started cooperation with few magazines. Later, Krajewski successfully cooperated with Polish, German, Austrian and Italian film distributors as poster designer. In 1963 he became a member of the Warsaw department of The Association of Polish Artists (Zwiąezk Polskich Artystów Plastyków) and ZAIKS?u.

Krajewski developed his own pop-art style. The most favourite motives of his works are jazz and film. In 70's his was also interested in art deco.
