‘Loving’ by Sławomir Fabicki wins the festival in Lecce

‘Loving’ (“Miłość”) by Sławomir Fabicki has won the Main Competition at the 14th European Film Festival in Lecce (Italy). The production received the l'Ulivo d'oro Award for the best film. What is more, Austrian-German-Polish film ‘The Dead and the Living’ (“Ci, którzy żyją i umierają”) by Barbara Albert has been awarded the Cineeuropa prize.


Plot of ‘Loving’

‘Loving’ is the story of the complicated relationship of a married couple - Maria and Tomek. They appear to have everything they needed and it feels that nothing is able to destroy their happiness. Both of them have successful carriers, they are creating a perfect relationship, decorating a new flat and expecting a baby. However, Maria has hidden a traumatic experience, which is going to put their love to a test.

  • The Best Actress Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival for Julia Kijowska for her performance as Maria.
